ResponderEliminarthe historical background of the 1960s (context)
The 60s saw the emergence of a new kind of conflict, this time between two generations: youth after war people and their dads generation. The first ones were tired of armed conflicts and vietnam was the last straw that broke the camel's back. They believed no more in the promises of peace from the autorities, and in some way they didnt feel represented by them anymore they were all from the old generation and there were no principles similarities between them.
Thats what made this revolution start, with a new style, instead of fighting for peace with violence they tried another ways to show their convinctions like sit in, public demonstrations or even bed ins like john lennon did twice with his wife yoko ono. John and yokp were part of a group of artist and activist who used their popularity to help with their cause.

the second part highlights the aims of the pacifist movements and specially the bed-in meant by John and Yoko.
the third one is about the way John and Yoko realized thet their movement their call for peace was remaining quite unfulfiled and they decided to spead the movement and to apped to politicians.
according to the journalist, other artists decided, later one, to promote again the bed peace idea.
